Any act of imposing one's will upon another physically and / or emotionally is an act of violence

Being physically hit, slapped, shoved, or hurt in ANY way

Being mentally controlled, yelled at or belittled

Being denied access to money

Being ignored and not heard

Being forced to have sex

Being touch in any unwanted way

Being denied the right to leave your home, use your phone, work outside of the house, or see friends

 

Violence is never acceptable.    Know that there is help.

Transition House Support Worker

JOB SUMMARY: provide support, security, information, education, crisis intervention and referrals to residents and Help-line callers. Also responsible for the general upkeep and daily operation of the Transition House.


Classification: Transition House Support Worker, Temporary Part-time
Rate of Pay: $16.33 – 19.01 (JJEP Wage Grid Level 10)
Hours: 0.75 Position (28 hours/week). Temporary part-time for the period August 1 2017 – July 31, 2018. Position is shift work, 3 days on and 3 days off (mornings 8:00-16:00; afternoons 16:00-24.00; evenings 24:00-8:00).
