Seeking Home Shared Living Providers

Individuals with developmental disabilities face challenging housing issues. For 12 years the HGSCP has helped meet those needs by providing housing and care for clients with a range of abilities. Now we’re hoping we can find people who can help us continue that tradition of service.

Our clients have a variety of needs but most simply need a home where people will care about them. They require supervision and need the support and stability that comes from living in a home, rather than an institution. What they really need is someone to care, just as we have been cared for.

If you have extra room in your home, and want to take on a rewarding and challenging experience, we’ll be happy to give you more information. Call us at 250-922-5922 or 250-626-4664 for more details on compensation and required certificates (First Aid).

If you have a stable, caring home and would like to submit your cover letter and resume, please include:
• A short description of yourself,
• Your family (if applicable)
• And your home.
• Include any work/life experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

These positions are contracted and require the following:
• A current First Aid ticket
• A valid driver’s license including (Drivers abstract) and
• A clear Criminal Record Check.
